Hi Guys,

I'm hoping someone will have some suggestions about what to try next to fix our over heating 2002 1.6 zetec Focus (149,000km)

For the last 6 months it has been randomly overheating, normally after cruising at highway speeds. Sometimes it will go for weeks without an issue but then it'll be bad for a week, then back to ok. We've only twice had the engine light come on and had to pull over, but even then the car was hot but not catastrophically boiling over hell fire and brimstone ...

Unfortunately I cannot open the bonnet on the futura as it was involved in a collision with a brick wall. But the price being asked makes it a very interesting propostion. Any comments please. When Ford OZ drop the I6 in 2010 will that be the end of the XR6 and XR6 Turbo?. We can sit here and talk about the "Heritage" and what not but soon the XR6 and Turbo's wont have much heritage left.

Tickford are no more and FPV now use their workshops, the cars will be made on the Ford production line with fully imported V6 engines.

At the moment the I6 engines for the XR6, XR6 Turbo and F6 are made at Geelong but that place is ...

2011 Mustang introduces variable cam timing engine for XR8

Falcon?

Ford has unveiled the

5.0-litre 'Coyote' V8 for the 2011 Mustang. The new engine develops 307kW of

power (412 horsepower) and 529Nm of torque, pipping the figures for the current

5.4-litre V8 in the XR8.

Despite its smaller displacement, Coyote makes the grade for power and torque

through the adoption of variable cam timing for its DOHC heads. This new system,

Anyone else get pissed off with little muddy paw prints over your just cleaned car?

More to the point, has anyone found a cure yet to keep the cats off?

I have tried:

Pepper, no good though as I start sneezing every time I open the vents…

The old sheet across the bonnet trick…. But since my car has all that lovely canuba wax all over it, all that happens there is the cat jumps up… goes skidding across the bonnet and then ...

XH Wiring Diagram Required

Haya all. I'm currently putting a XH Dash into my dirty old XF (Yes the same one i'm putting the XR6-T engine into) and I need a wiring diagram to figure out which wire is which! It doesn't appear the Gregorys makes a XH manual so it might be a Ford only thing, and I was just wondering if anyone on here has access to one that they could prehaps photocopy or let me borrow?
