2011 Mustang introduces variable cam timing engine for XR8

Falcon?

Ford has unveiled the

5.0-litre 'Coyote' V8 for the 2011 Mustang. The new engine develops 307kW of

power (412 horsepower) and 529Nm of torque, pipping the figures for the current

Despite its smaller displacement, Coyote makes the grade for power and torque

Sad day in the Zam household - things are tight on the work front so need to rationalise a bit and free up some cash. Also now that Dad's gone and we need to ferry Mum around three seats will allow us to take her away with us with the horses (unfortunately Mrs Z's RX8 can't tow a double horse float although we will be selling the RX8 as well). Time for a diesel double cab -

I drove to my girlfriend place and then we went to Nelson and back and I set the odometer when I filled up and I got 703km to the tank, it averaged 10.5L to 100k's. On 95 or 98 I average about 11.5 to 12L on the same trip.

With enough MONEY, you can throw out all those cheap and nasty speakers they put in at the factory and replace them, the sub and the amp with real audio gear, and the difference is like night and day. No need to replace the factory stereo, just the speakers.

I have had this upgrade done to my FG and couldn't be happier. If I had known it would make this much difference I would ...

Sometimes it's the things not said that speak volumes. Amidst the euphoria of Ford's decision to add EcoBoost, liquid injection LPG and turbodiesel engine options, the future of the company's 5.4-litre Boss V8 engine is far less certain.
